The engine performed to expectations during three test levels.

Systems tested included hydraulics，electrical，and environmental controls.

The engine produces up to 22000 pounds of thrust to reach Mach 1.4 (925 miles per hour).

The X-59 is the centerpiece of NASA's Quesst mission.

The goal is to provide data that may open the door to quiet commercial supersonic flight over land.
